UPDATE

Hope everyone back home is doing good. It's been a month since I left home and returned to Afghanistan. The first two and a half weeks were tough. Got final approval from the Army for my first big project last week and the surveyors were in today and we should start building the Advance Mobility Drivers Course next week. This is a very unique drivers course that will sit on 14 acres and will be available for all Tactical Wheeled vehicles to train on. I have three months to complete the project so I hope the workers for IBC Construction Company will do what they need to do because I'm expecting to push them pretty hard and try to have it done in two months. I really like my new job but you would not belive the run around the Army gives you trying to find the right people you need to talk to to get something done. Go here and talk to this person, go there and talk to that person, and two days later you finally find the right person you need to talk to and then they hand you a stack of papers you need to fill out before they send you in front of a board of Majors and Colonals to explaine you project and the impact it has on the mission in Afghanistan for approval. My new address in Afghanistan is,
Kevin Shaffer

Take care and I'll see everyone at Christmas.
